Best Plain English Investor Document award
Entry requirements
The Best Investor Document award will recognise a document that helps New Zealanders to make an informed choice about an investment opportunity.
The judges will be looking for the best example of a document that provides New Zealanders with high quality, legally compliant, clear information. In particular, the judges will be looking for information which simply, frankly and thoroughly describes the investment opportunity, the expected return, and the risks and costs involved.
Examples of document types you could enter:
- Prospectus
- Investment Statement
- Product Disclosure Statement
We are not looking for annual reports or other performance-reporting documents.
Examples of who could enter:
- Trustees of superannuation schemes
- Finance companies
- Mortgage brokers
- Fund managers
- Financial advisors
- Banks
- Life insurance companies
- Issuers of debt or equity securities
You cannot enter a document that has been edited by Write Limited or Emily Cotlier, a judge for this award.
Submit your document online with your completed entry form. If you cannot send an electronic copy of your document, please send five hard copies so that these can be distributed to the judges.
Prizes for this award
The winner of the Best Plain English Investor Document award will receive:
