‘ACC was delighted to be nominated for the People's Choice award at the Plain English Awards, and even happier to win. What better endorsement can there be that our work is on the right track.
‘Plain English communication is absolutely vital for an organisation like ACC. On one hand we operate with complex legislation and have lots of processes to make it all work. On the other hand we deal with two very important aspects of people's lives — their health and finances. So if people found our brochures, forms or letters hard to understand then there could be problems. And that's the last thing people need when they are injured.
