Best Plain English Document awards — entry requirements for Category 2
There are two awards in the Best Plain English Document category.
- Public Sector / Non-Government Organisation (NGO)
- Private Sector
The awards recognise the best examples of plain English documents from each sector.
As part of the judging process, entries are assessed against the WriteMark Plain English Standard.
Documents edited or proofread by Write Group Limited are not eligible to win a Best Plain English Document award.
If you only have a hard copy of the document, complete the entry form and print it before submitting the form. Please send five copies of your document with the completed entry form.
Public Sector / Non-Government Organisation
This award is open to all New Zealand public sector organisations and NGOs. Each organisation may enter up to three complete documents written by their organisation. Entries should be:
- whole documents, rather than extracts
- no more than 10 pages.*
Private Sector
This award is open to all New Zealand-based private sector organisations. Each organisation may enter up to three complete documents written by their organisation. Entries should be:
- whole documents, rather than extracts
- no more than 10 pages.*
