Best Plain English Turnaround award
This award recognises the best plain English rewrite of a document or website that was originally difficult to read. We particularly encourage people to enter documents and websites that were finalists for 'Brainstrain' awards in past years.
What you need to know
Entries must:
- include both the original document or webpage and the rewrite
- be submitted by the organisation the document or webpage belongs to.
Entries should be whole documents or webpages, rather than extracts. The rewritten document or webpage should be in current use.
The independent judging panel will be solely responsible for selecting the finalists and winner.
Prizes for this award
The winner of the Best Plain English Turnaround award will receive:
- a stunning steel and bronze trophy produced for the Awards by Wellington sculptor Campbell Maud
- the latest StyleWriter plain English editing software — single-user licence (from Editor Software UK)
- a place on any of Write Limited’s 1-day public workshops.
