'nzfishing.com is delighted that web designer/editor Beverley Stevens was named as a finalist in the Best Individual category of the 2008 Plain English Awards. The website nzfishing.com set out to be an easy-to-use integrated information resource for recreational anglers planning a fly fishing trip anywhere in New Zealand. Beverley’s single-minded focus on making the site work for the user through its visual design, writing and organisation of information, has been instrumental in making this happen.
Selection for this award is great recognition of Beverley’s contribution to the success of nzfishing.com. The site, which is now over 2000 pages including many maps, is top of numerous relevant Google searches and gets excellent feedback from visitors. It was used extensively by teams of top international fly fishers competing in the 2008 World Fly Fishing Championships based in Rotorua.'
