This 'Brainstrain' award has provided us with a great opportunity and we’ve already started reviewing the way we communicate with our patients. Capital and Coast DHB send out around 800,000 letters each year and we want them to be easy to understand. We know coming to hospital can be stressful and we want our patients and their families to have the best possible experience. As well as sending letters, we also phone all of our patients about their appointments and can send text message reminders.
