Entry requirements for the 2008 WriteMark Plain English Awards
General requirements for all entries in the 2008 Plain English Awards
Organisations must have an office registered in New Zealand to enter the 2008 Plain English Awards.
Documents or websites edited or proofread by Write Group Limited may not be entered in Categories 2, 3, 4, or 5 (see category names below). However, documents or websites edited or proofread by Write Group Limited may form part of an entry for an award in Category 1.

Specific entry requirements for each category in the 2008 Plain English Awards
The 2008 Plain English Awards have 11 awards in five categories. See below for the specific entry requirements for each award.
Plain English Champion awards — entry requirements for Category 1
Best Plain English Document awards — entry requirements for Category 2
Best Plain English Website award — entry requirements for Category 3
Best Sentence Transformation award — entry requirements for Category 4
People’s Choice awards — entry requirements for Category 5
Entering documents for more than one award
In some cases, documents or websites may be entered for more than one award. In particular, supporting material for entries for Plain English Champion — Best Project may be:
- used to support entries in other Plain English Champion awards, as long as your entry complies with the requirements for the award entered
- entered in other categories, as long as your entry complies with the requirements for the category entered. For example, you might enter a website that supports your entry for Best Project for the Best Plain English Website award.
Confidentiality
Information you send as part of an entry will be treated as confidential. It is a condition of entry that case studies, including winning documents, may be publicised at the 2008 Plain English Awards and in various media after the event.
