Media statement
There is an arrogance in the financial industry that maintains the ordinary, non-professional investor has to become "financially literate" in order to be a better informed and more skilful investor. At Goldman Henry, we have a different belief: professionals in the finance industry need to communicate in a language that can be readily understood by the investor. If a financial professional cannot explain a financial instrument in terms that a non-professional can grasp, then that professional is no better than — say — a science teacher who is unable to explain the basic principle of Boyle's Law to pupils.
