ANZ’s efforts to create plain English investor documents have paid off, as shown in the overall winner, the ANZ Kiwisaver document.
This winning entry is an easy-to-navigate and clear description of the KiwiSaver investment clearly organized for the investor audience. It gives good coverage of KiwiSaver features, making clear what sort of investor KiwiSaver suits, and how they can benefit. And it covers the regulation questions in very clear language, for a general reader.

ANZ Investments is New Zealand’s largest KiwiSaver provider and we’re committed to helping New Zealanders save for their retirement. We believe it’s important for people to make well-informed decisions about their KiwiSaver provider and their investment in the scheme. We wanted our refreshed Plain English investment statement to give investors confidence about their choices in KiwiSaver.
We set out to simplify the document while continuing to meet the rules for disclosure. We wrote and designed the investment statement in a way that makes important information easy to find, easy to read and easy to understand.
We also wanted to update and improve the style and presentation of the documents so that they could appeal to the widest possible audience.
This award recognises the huge efforts we’ve made to improve the way we communicate with our customers.
