AMP is delighted to have been recognised as a finalist in the 2013 WriteMark Plain English Awards, in the ‘Best Plain English Investor Document’ category for its AMP KiwiSaver Scheme investment statement.
With KiwiSaver rapidly becoming the cornerstone of New Zealand’s private savings, which is essential for sustainable economic growth, it is important that New Zealanders understand their options so they can make fully-informed decisions about their retirement savings.
The goal for the AMP KiwiSaver Scheme investment statement was to convey complex information in a way that makes it easier for members to understand the scheme, and to help educate members about how investments work and what risks they should be aware of.
AMP achieved this by producing a user-friendly document that is clear, concise and free of technical and industry jargon, and follows the guidance provided by the FMA on effective disclosure.
AMP is committed to ensuring that investors are provided with the right tools to enable them to make the right decisions and is investing a lot of time and resource into making all communications easily understood. So it is very pleasing for the company to have this effort rewarded by being named a finalist in the WriteMark Plain English Awards.
