Since 1980, Dr Riley has conducted hundreds of written communication courses for corporate, government, and academic clients across the USA and abroad.
A passionate trainer, prolific writer, awesome executive writing coach, eagle-eyed editor, and global educator — these are the titles earned during her professional journey. She is the author of five books on written communications:

Dr Riley has presented for national organisations, as well as at PLAIN (Plain Language Association InterNational) Conferences in Sydney, Australia and Vancouver, Canada. As an academic delegate to the People’s Republic of China, she contributed to educational systems from Beijing to Canton. She’s served as a judge for the ClearMark Awards, in 2011, a judge for the WriteMark Awards since 2012, and visiting professor with the University of Illinois/Chicago campus since 2003.
Dr Riley strongly believes that powerful writing is not a secret, it’s a system. Therefore, her training programs focus on enabling participants to “soar on the wings of words…”
