Sarah started her career in law, studying at Victoria University in Wellington and working as a solicitor in New Zealand and the UK.

She went on to complete an MPhil in Publishing Studies at Stirling University in Scotland, and worked as a technical writer before setting up her freelance writing business in 2002.
Since then, Sarah has provided writing-related services for a host of clients in New Zealand and overseas.

Sarah also writes books and stories for children. Her books have been shortlisted for the New Zealand Book Awards for Children and Young Adults, and have twice received Storylines Notable Book Awards.
