TVNZ presenter, Fair Go host
Fair Go presenter Kevin Milne acted as master of ceremonies at the 2009 WriteMark New Zealand Plain English Awards ceremony. Kevin also hosted the 2006, 2007, and 2008 WriteMark Plain English Awards, so we were thrilled to have him with us again. We joined Kevin as he steered us through a night of plain English awards and revealed, in good humour, the People’s Choice — ‘Brainstrain’ Document and Website for this year.
Kevin is one of TVNZ’s longest serving reporters. He started in television in 1970, joined Fair Go in 1984, and has been presenting the show since 1993. Kevin was made an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the 2007 Queen’s Birthday Honours for his services to broadcasting and the community. He has previously won a Qantas Media Award for Best Presenter.
Although Fair Go is recorded in Auckland, Kevin is based in Wellington, where he reports and directs Fair Go stories. His investigations have produced some of the biggest payouts seen on Fair Go, including the largest of $400,000. He has extracted millions of dollars for viewers in his time with the show.
