Our document, Parenting Plans: Parents’ Guide to Making Plans for Their Children after Separation, was developed for parents who are going through separation. When people are going through this stressful time they don’t want to have to struggle with complicated, confusing language. We're pleased to report we've had a lot of positive feedback from parents and court staff about the plan.
We are often required to explain complex legal information to audiences, and we are well aware of the challenges involved in presenting information that is legally correct but also easy to understand. Our team is committed to the principles of plain English in all of our work, and we are very proud to receive this award on behalf of the Ministry."
