Ministry of Social Development
Finalist: Plain English Champion — Best Project
A Home for Life
A key focus for Child, Youth and Family (a service of the Ministry of Social Development) is intensifying our efforts to help children in care have a home they can call their own. Our goal is to increase the number of children leaving state care by 1,200 over a five-year period.
All our communication is designed to give New Zealanders, in particular potential caregivers, a clear understanding of what it means to give a child the security and stability that comes from having a home to call their own. We have tried to make information simple and the process straight-forward.
Child, Youth and Family is delighted to be recognised in the plain English awards.
