The Sussed pocket guide was created by StudyLink, a business unit of the Ministry of Social Development, as part of an education programme for secondary school students considering study. It helps readers in understanding the investment in study, choosing a career, figuring out what it will cost to study and live, how they might finance it, and what borrowing will mean for them later in life.
The name Sussed reflects our aim of ensuring young people are well informed and well prepared for study.
The programme has been highly successful, with almost all of eligible schools running it or booking it. So we are very proud that the Plain English Awards has also recognised Sussed.
