The Royal Commission is delighted to receive the People’s Choice — Best Plain English Document Award.
The Commission’s terms of reference made it clear that our job was to encourage the widest possible participation in the debate about Auckland’s future and its governance.
In keeping with this purpose, it was important to us that language should be no barrier to that participation.
In accepting the award, we would like to pay tribute to the many people who participated in the Royal Commission’s formal and informal consultation processes. Our Report is the harvest of ideas and aspirations of many.
