Great use of visual storytelling and pared-down messaging. The colours are vibrant and engaging.

There is very little jargon in this report, which is always great to see. The vocabulary is straightforward and clear.

The brochure style of this report is a nice variation against other more typical layouts of annual reports.

Media statement

When our newer Kiwis arrive, we want them to feel at home. It’s the Kiwi way. But it’s not easy to join in if you can’t understand the lingo. That’s why we help Aotearoa’s newer Kiwis learn English, so they can participate in their everyday lives, both in the community and at work.

At English Language Partners, we like to keep our communications as simple and clear as possible. That way, everyone can understand. And that includes refugees and migrants learning English. We wanted our annual report to be read by one and all, and not sit gathering dust on the shelf.

As teaching English is our bread and butter, we’re delighted to be chosen as a finalist for this award — it’s a fantastic endorsement of our daily work.
