\nWe\u2019re thrilled to welcome Chloe Wright of the Wright Family Foundation as our new patron.<\/p>\n

Chloe\u2019s background and interests make her the perfect fit for the role of patron. The Trust and the working group that organises the Awards are thrilled to have her on board.<\/p>\n

Chloe herself is equally thrilled!<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m honoured that you\u2019ve invited me to be patron of the Plain English Awards. I can see the huge potential in the Plain English Awards, and commend you for what you\u2019ve achieved in the past 14 years. The Awards\u2019 goals of making plain English a natural part of everyday business and government communication is something I strongly support.<\/p>\n

‘So often people don\u2019t want to say that they can\u2019t understand an official document or form. They think it\u2019s because they lack some knowledge or skill \u2014 when mostly the problem lies in the writing they\u2019re trying to untangle.<\/p>\n

‘I\u2019m going to embrace being patron of the Plain English Awards, because I\u2019m passionate about championing people\u2019s right to understand.\u2019<\/p>\n
