Peter Russell
Technical Communicator, New Zealand
Peter is a senior technical communicator working with a team of mechanical engineers at KiwiRail in Wellington. Peter’s career has been one of synthesising technical language and graphics for the needs of a wide range of audiences.
Peter graduated with a Bachelor of Horticultural Science from Massey University. He then moved into the area of scientific and technical communication, writing and producing material to help commercial horticulturists and to train students studying for trade certificates and diplomas.
His work has since included producing documentation covering highway maintenance and development, road vehicle inspections, prison operations, railway rolling stock and much more.
Peter is the Secretary and Treasurer of TechCommNZ, formerly the Technical Communicators Association of New Zealand (TCANZ).
