Entering documents for more than one award

In some cases, documents or websites may be entered for more than one award. In particular, supporting material for entries for Plain English Champion — Best Project may be:

  • used to support entries in other Plain English Champion awards, as long as your entry complies with the requirements for the award entered
  • entered in other categories, as long as your entry complies with the requirements for the category entered. For example, you might enter a website that supports your entry for Best Project for the Best Plain English Website award.

Confidentiality

Information you send as part of an entry will be treated as confidential, except in the People's Choice category. It is a condition of entry that case studies, winning documents, event photos, and media statements may be publicised at the 2009 Plain English Awards function and in various media after the event.

Note on ownership of entries and who may collect an award

If an organisation has used external consultants to work on their document or website, the consultant may be acknowledged by the winning organisation in whatever way the organisation feels appropriate. However, the award must be collected by the organisation that owns the work.
